Abstract
This article analyzes modern approaches to modernizing the management system in higher education institutions through digital technologies. In the context of digital transformation, the role of modern digital tools such as information systems, artificial intelligence, big data, cloud technologies, and online platforms in automating, optimizing, and analyzing management processes is explored. The article reviews existing systems used in the management of higher education institutions, including HEMIS, electronic document circulation, distance learning monitoring, and e-rectorate systems. Furthermore, best practices from the USA, South Korea, and European countries are examined comparatively. Based on the research findings, infrastructure, legal, and human resource challenges in implementing digital governance in Uzbekistan’s higher education sector are identified, and concrete recommendations for their resolution are provided. The conclusion highlights the strategic importance of digital technologies in improving management efficiency.
