Abstract

This study is devoted to exploring the theoretical-psychological and pedagogical foundations of teaching the guitar instrument in forming a vocal-pop ensemble at BMSM (Children’s Music and Art School). The work analyzes the functional role of the guitar in the context of a vocal- pop ensemble, its accompanying and ensemble performance characteristics, as well as the psychological characteristics of young students. Competency-based, activity-based, and intercultural approaches are used as the methodological foundation. The research results serve to define a step-by- step system, psychological-pedagogical conditions, and practical recommendations for guitar teaching in pop ensemble classes. The work is of theoretical and practical significance for teachers, methodologists, and researchers of music education.
