Abstract
This article analyzes the rights of citizens to freely seek, receive and disseminate information, as well as the mechanisms for ensuring them. At the same time, the importance of the openness of state bodies, legislation on ensuring freedom of information and the development of society is highlighted. The article shows freedom of information as an important element of a democratic society, emphasizing its practical importance and relevance.
