Abstract
The article analyzes the role and importance of fathers as the main educators in family upbringing in the international and Uzbek context. The role of the father in modern society as not only a financial provider, but also a key figure who actively participates in the comprehensive development of the child is considered. Based on the scientific work of foreign and domestic scientists, the positive impact of father participation on the cognitive, emotional, social and moral development of the child is substantiated. It also highlights the factors influencing fathers’ participation in upbringing, as well as current problems and opportunities in this regard.
