Abstract
This article highlights the pedagogical, methodological, and performance criteria for selecting national repertoire in inter-faculty piano lessons. It analyzes the importance of incorporating Uzbek folk melodies, works by national composers, and musical samples adapted for the piano into the educational process. In the selection of national repertoire, students’ performance training, musical and aesthetic taste, technical capabilities, the artistic and ideological content of the work, and its educational value are considered key factors.
