Abstract
The article analyzes one of the masterpieces of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre - the production of “Jaloliddin Manguberdi”. The theatre has approached this historical drama twice: the first interpretation was staged in 1944, and the second in 2020. These productions are comparatively analyzed based on the principles of returning to a theme and artistic criteria.
