Abstract
The article presents general information about the creative heritage of Sakkoki, one of the famous representatives of Uzbek classical literature, describes some scientific views on the manuscripts and editions of the divan belonging to him, determines the lexical composition of the poet’s qasid and ghazals, reveals semantic and lexical-artistic features, and partially evaluates the poet’s contributions to the development of the Uzbek literary language. The language of Sakkoki’s works is considered one of the high examples of the old Uzbek literary language. Turkic words occupy a central place in the poet’s work, combined with folk expressions and artistic images. His poetic language is fluent, musical and expressive, and serves to deeply express the content. In Sakkoki’s ghazals, words from Arabic and Persian languages are also found, but they are skillfully used to increase the artistic value of the work. Artistic techniques such as metaphor, isti’ora, tazod and repetition are widely used, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the poems. The poet’s language is distinguished by its elegance, imagery and richness of content and occupies an important place in the development of Uzbek classical literature.
